How we use AI to serve our clients better

At Abridge Law, we are committed to the ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. Our approach to AI is designed to ensure that these powerful tools are used to enhance our services while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accountability.

What is AI and why we use it

AI stands for artificial intelligence, which is the ability of machines or software to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as understanding language, recognizing images, solving problems, and learning from data.

We use AI to enhance our services, improve our efficiency, and deliver more value to you, our clients. For example, we use AI to:

  • Analyze large amounts of data and generate insights that help us make better decisions and optimize our processes.
  • Enhance our communication and collaboration with you.
  • Develop new and innovative ways for producing work product that achieves your goals and meets your expectations.

How we ensure ethical and responsible use of AI

We are committed to using AI in a way that aligns with our values and principles. To ensure ethical and responsible use of AI, we:

  • Follow the best practices and standards of our industry and profession, and comply with the relevant laws and regulations of our jurisdiction.
  • Adopt a human-centric and user-oriented approach, and incorporate AI technologies into our systems with our client’s needs, preferences, and feedback in mind.
  • Establish criteria for licensing generative AI technologies to ensure ethical and responsible use of AI.
  • Implement robust processes and procedures, and test and monitor our AI technologies regularly to ensure their quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Protect client privacy and security by ensuring that all employees adhere to our firm’s privacy and data security policies when using AI technologies.
  • Enhance transparency and communicate clearly and honestly with you about how we use AI.

We recognize the limitations of AI and expect our employees to continually use their judgment when interpreting and acting on AI-generated recommendations. We are firmly committed to the human-centric approach that AI systems should be used as a tool to augment human decision-making, not replace it. We do not permit the use of AI technologies to make fully automated decisions that do not require any meaningful human oversight in the work product that we create for our clients.
